My youngest sister, who will be 30 this year, has been dating the man of her dreams for about 7 months. After their recent trip to New York City, they called us to announce that they have become engaged!! No date has been set, but I know I am already excited about shopping for bridesmaid dresses, planning showers and helping prepare for the actual wedding.
Here is a picture of Meghan and my soon-to-be brother-in-law, Wayne.
Congrats, Little Sister and welcome to the circus, Wayne!!

Monday,Monday
Back to school today after a nice weekend at home. I cooked and cleaned, dug a garden and took some pictures of a few recent projects.
Camden found Nana's birdbath on Easter weekend and took advantage of its cooling effects on a 25 degree day in April.
I loved this pic of Afton that I took on Easter morning. I knew I just had to do a pink, girly layout with it. Afton approves of the pink scalloped borders and the pretty patterned papers. :)
Sorry this picture looks so wishy-washy. The colours are a little more intense in real life. This is a picture of my in-laws and the kids on Easter Monday morning, enjoying a brunch prepared by my hubby.

Colour Makes Me Happy!!
With Spring comes flowers, and flowers bring some of the most gorgeous colour I know. We live in a brand new home and I have just begun digging some gardens around it. So unfortuneately, I haven't any blooms to enjoy of my own to enjoy. Luckily, on a recent trip home to Exeter, my mom let me cut some of her daffodils and tulips.
Aren't they lovely?
I can't wait to put some bulbs in my gardens for next spring!!

Some 2-Pagers to Share
Hi there. I'll start with my Project 12 layout for March. It's another Becky Fleck sketch and I have used a variety of photos taken throughout the month that didn't really call for a layout of their own.
I LOVE this Cosmo Cricket paper line. It's "Early Bird" and I bought a ton of it when it first came out. I think I have just enough left to put together a minibook for my in-laws. That's another post....
Here is my layout about Easter morning at our home. I have really fond memories of that day. My older two kids knew exactly what to expect when they got out of bed that morning, but the baby didn't have a clue. I loved seeing the "Eureka!" moment when he figured out that there were chocolate eggs in each of the plastic eggs his siblings found. And right away, he was on the hunt - he wasn't going to miss any of that choco-goodness!!
The paper and accents are all "Hippity Hoppity" by "We R Memory Keepers." Thanks to Melissa Inman for the sketch and "Brenda" for the inspiration.

Scrapfest 2010!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Scrapfest in Kitchener with my dear friend Julie. We made a kid-free couple of days and stayed in KW at the Holiday Inn. Friday night we met for dinner (after leaving our kids with their caregivers) and lingered over cocktails and Italian food for almost 3 hours!! Bliss. After gabbing in our room for 3 hours we hit the sack and arose early to grab breakfast and to get our seats at our morning class. We signed up for a three-layout class with one of my favourite scrappers, Vicki Boutin. Here we created 3 very different layouts using papers and embellishments from Doodlebug.
Here is my "Basic" layout:
My "Detailed" layout:
And my "Expert" layout:
Here is Vicki (and Tara)drawing for prizes at the end of the class:
And Julie with her awesome prize pack containing tons of Sassafras product. Lucky girl!!
After class, we literally shopped until we dropped, buying tons of new scrapbooking product. This was a perfect weekend for catching up, resting up, being inspired and getting away. I'll definitely be doing it again in the fall. Who else wants to join us???

Charlie & Afton
Charlie is Afton's best friend. I am sure Afty makes all of her decisions thinking, "What would Charlie do?" . Charlotte is older and wiser and much more worldy, and my little lady thinks the world of her! To celebrate this friendship, I surprised Afton with a new picture frame for her favourite picture of she and Charlie. I used a plain wooden frame from Michaels ($1.50!!) and covered it in papers from Imaginisce. Afty really enjoys the chipboard butterfly too!

It`s Yard Sale Season!!
I love this time of year. Old things make me so happy and when I can pick them up for cheap, I am even giddier. There was only one yard sale in Milton this weekend, but it was a biggie! It was being held by the Historical Society as a fund-raiser to cover the cost of re-painting the outside of the old Blacksmith shop here in town.
So I took my normal $20 into the shop and took a look around. Before I knew it, my arms were full of lovely things:
Look at those daffodils!!
Love the shape of these jars (which will hold scrapbboking supplies in the near future!)
I love anything with pink roses!
And this frame has a future with some blackboard paint and my family room. (More on that in a later post!!)

I'm Here - I've been Busy!!
I have several new things I'd like to share with all of you in blog-land, so I am going to have to roll them out over the next few days.
With spring upon us, I have been eager to get some projects done around the house. So with hubby busy with the new deck, I have set to doing some spring cleaning and decorating.
Pennants have become all the rage in scrapbooking:
(Elizabeth Kartchner)
I have also seen lots them in decor magazines, particluarly those mags that come out of England (I buy a lot of those!) So when I decided Bryn's bedroom needed a little pick me up, I dug through my fabric stash and put this together for him:
Do you like?? And it was easy too!
