As in in thousands of homes across North America, our little elf, Cricket, has arrived on the scene.
As usual, Cricket helped us celebrate his arrival by preparing us a Christmas breakfast complete with a festive table setting.
He always brings a note, too, encouraging our three children to be on their best behaviour in the weeks leading up to Santa's arrival.
This year, our 6 year old daughter, Afton, was able to read the letter to her brothers. What a proud moment!!
And what did Cricket prepare? This year all the ingredients for waffles were laid - out including some yummy toppings that the kids could add to their freshly made breakfast.
"Thanks for breakfast, Cricket!"
Cricket's adventures have begun. We have already found him in a variety of crazy situations. And everyday we hear the kids say to each other, "You'd better be good - Cricket's watching!"
Have a wonderful week - 16 days until Christmas!!
Hugs and warmth to all,
Bronwyn
Oh how wonderful!! I've just read your post while on my lunch hour at work and it has warmed me up no end. What a fantastic idea and I only wish my children were still young enough to appreciate this. What a great mum you are!! xx

I love this, it is so cute, I can't wait to be able to do this when I have kids of my own one day, until then I may just have to invest in a little elf for myself (although I'm sure it won't have the same effect), it really is the sweetest thing ever x x x x
