On July 7th, my husband's dear parents, Jim and Betty, will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.
In 2000, I arrived on the scene. We married in 2002 and I became Betty and Jim's first daughter-in-law.
Between December 2004 and December 2008, we added three children to our family and gave Betty and Jim three grandchildren.
Bryn came first . . .
. . . then Afton . .
. . . and lastly, our monkey, Camden.
During all of our baby chaos, Joel met and married dear sweet Amy.
. . . making Betty and Jim's family a group of nine.
In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Betty and Jim requested that we have some up-to-date family portraits done as a time capsule of what our family looked like in 2013.
Luckily, one of my dear friends, Kari Lockett, who had shot many wonderful photos of my children in the past, was willing to take on our large group.
And - Kari was amazing.
She set all of us at ease, and had unending patience with our 3 rambunctious children. She posed the nine of us naturally and easily and the resulting photos are certainly stunning.
In fact, the hardest part of this whole photography exercise might be deciding which photos to print and frame. They are all definitely worthy of an 8 x 10!!
Thanks so much Kari! Once again you have captured some truly heart-warming moments in time.
Where can you find Kari?
