"Cherish" - A Page Maps Sketch

Photobucket

All products by October Afternoon

These are recent photos of my 4-year-old daughter and my father, Poppa. As my father's illness worsens, my family and I try to spend as much time with my parents as we can. I truly hope my daughter (and both of my sons) remember these everyday minutes with their grandfather and cherish them forever!!

Sketchy Thursdays: Our Garden

I am sitting down to do just a quick post because we are off to Niagra Falls with the 2 older kids to visit GREAT WOLF LODGE!! They are so excited. Grandma and Grandpa will be here any minute to take care of Camden and then we're off!

This week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch looks like this:

3 Tags in 45 Minutes

So here's the challenge: I have 1 hour to scrap from the time I put the 2 youngest to bed and when the oldest and Daddy get home from soccer practise. No scrapping past that because Kevin is bringing home Sushi for our weekly "Dinner for 2." So, with this deadline looming, I hit the scraproom.

Here is what I came up with:

The girls over at LRW had made "Tags" our weekly challenge. I hadn't taken part in a few weeks because I was too busy with school, but summer has begun and I have a few extra minutes on my hands!

I can't believe I still have scraps of Cosmo Cricket's "Early Bird" line left. I managed to use a few more pieces up creating this lovely little darlings!!

Decks, Sprinklers and Soccer

I finally used some of my trendy "Echo Park" papers. Gosh this company has created a "buzz" in the scrapbooking world! People can't seem to get enough of their stuff. I like the colours and graphic nature of the prints. Here is a series of photos taken over the three weekends my hubby spent building our new 16x20 deck. Didn't he do a great job??

Afton plays on Team Germany in the 4 and under soccer league in our town. Once she got over the fact that she wasn't going to hurt the other kids by kicking too hard ( that is whay you wear shin pads, darling!) she has become a soccer machine!! She is definitely more athletically inclined then her big brother!!

Love the summer. So many things to do to keep the three kids busy!! Gosh. The sprinkler alone keeps them going for at least an hour!! (Cam isn't a big fan though!)

Oh! Here is a bonus card. I made it out of Echo Park leftovers. Bryn's teacher got a real kick out of the apple triplets!

Project 12 May - Doodlebug

Photobucket

I have an issue.  Sometimes, I won't use the scrapbook products I buy because I find them simply too beautiful, or too cute, to cut.  This is usually the case when I purchase anything from Doodlebug.   So, the other night, I MADE myself dig into some of last year's product.  It can't sit on my paper shelves any longer!  I must use so that I have no guilt when I buy more, newer Doodlebug product!!

This is my Project 12 layout for May.  The photos are all  "outdoor" shots so I incorporated some "nature" paper and embellishments.

Caution! Cute Bryn Ahead!!

There's my oldest sweetie, enjoying a purple popsicle on the first day of summer.  I want to remember this precious little moment with my almost-first-grader.  Wow.  Where did my baby go?

Made this layout for a challenge at "My Mind's Eye."   Here is the sketch:
