In this desert environment, I'm happy if anything green grows. I don't pull weeds, I water them. Just to see something green. Birds don't care what they are getting, as long as they have something to peck at and eat. :) Have a wonderful Wednesday. I still need to plant some for my husband - they were one of his Mom's favorites - I think it would cheer his heart to see them in a garden again! Oh that yellow flower with the gorgeous purple center... if you ever find out the name please let me know... simply stunning! I also have a big shady spot in the back of my house that seriously needs some brightening up with flowers. There is an old stone fence that is back there and it would look lovely with flowers draping down it. Alas, I think that will have to wait for next year's project list. I've already spent a wicked amount of money on the garden this year... I seriously need to stop! If DH saw my credit card he would flip out! :D Well, thanks for popping by my blog for a visit and thank you ever so much for sharing all the beauty that is exploding in your garden right now! Can't wait to see it throughout the rest of the spring, summer and fall.
Hugs for now,
Beth P
P.S. I have never paid much attention to that unwritten rule about planting for all the seasons. I get too carried away with what ever I see in the garden centers at the moment! I don't know the names of those in the pot together, but some look like petunias to me. The names don't really matter though do they, what matters is the wonderful colour and beauty and the enjoyment that they bring to you! I used to have a wonderful clump in a piece of shared ground between my house and next door - but some silly neighbour decided they were weeds and cut them down. I was devastated. On the other hand - that's what I need to do to my clematis to make it flower profusely. Gardening is not my strong point. :)The History Anorakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09718067264562106116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357637685658638938.post-30983437354405433442015-06-01T13:26:58.535-04:002015-06-01T13:26:58.535-04:00Your garden is a feast for the eyes and, I bet, fo...Your garden is a feast for the eyes and, I bet, for the nose too!
